Our CDL Class A Manual Transmission Program is designed for students who want to master shifting techniques and gain full confidence behind the wheel of a manual transmission truck.
Program highlights
Flexible program length: finish in as little as 2 weeks, or up to 4 weeks depending on your progress.
Daily behind-the-wheel practice with a certified CDL instructor.
Road training begins in the second week and continues until you’re fully prepared for the CDL skills test.
Hands-on training from day one on the yard to build core driving skills.
First CDL skills test included with a state-licensed examiner.

Our CDL Class A Automatic Transmission Program offers the same high-quality training with the ease of learning on an automatic transmission truck.

How To Get Started
Get A Medical DOT Card
Schedule an appointment with a local medical office authorized to perform DOT physicals. You must pass this exam to receive your Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card).
Pass the CDL Knowledge Tests At DMV OFFICE
Book an appointment at your local DMV to take the required written tests—General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles (if applying for Class A).
Complete ELDT Online Course
Federal law requires all new CDL drivers to complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT). You can take our FMCSA-approved online ELDT course at eldtmaster.com to satisfy this requirement before moving on to behind-the-wheel training.
Start Your CDL Training
Once you’ve completed the ELDT requirement, begin hands-on training at CDL Master Training. Our certified instructors provide daily driving practice, road preparation, and personalized support to ensure you’re fully ready for the CDL skills test.
Take Your CDL Skills Test
After finishing training, schedule your skills test at the DMV. This includes pre-trip inspection, backing maneuvers, and a road test. Once you pass, you’ll receive your CDL license.
